Reporting Student Attendance and Engagement:The CT State Department of Education is requiring that all school districts track and record student attendance during in-person and virtual school days. See Dr. Seitsinger's Attendance Letter to learn more about this requirement.
School Lunch Program: Meals will be available for pick up for ALL Preston students under the age of 18, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30AM to 10:00AM at Preston Plains Middle School, 1 Route 164, Preston, CT 06365. Meals will be provided free of charge. All meals served in school will also be served free of charge to ALL students.
Intention to participate in distance learning: In the event that your children will temporarily participate in distance learning due to COVID-19, please fill out the Distance Learning Form and submit it electronically to building principals.

September 22, 2020: The Connecticut State Department of Education released Adendum 14 to clarify student attendance and engagement during the hybrid model.
September 4, 2020: As we approach the end of the first week of school for students, the superintendent released the September 4 Update.

August 25, 2020: The 2020-2021 school bus routes have been posted on our transportation page.
August 23, 2020: The 2020-2021 Acceptable Use Form and Chromebook/Mobile Device Student User Agreement Form have been posted here for your convenience. Mobile devices will be assigned to students in grades 3-8. Please contact our schools for more information regarding this initiative.
August 17, 2020: The district published the FAQs for the Hybrid Model Opening document. Please be aware that answers to the questions may be modified or substantially changed at any time, based on state, regional, and local events, guidance, and decisions.
August 11, 2020: The Superintendent released his August Update and the Reopening Schools Presentation. Preston Schools will reopen in a hybrid model. In an effort to help working parents find childcare, the Regional Education Service Center compiled a list of Programs with Increased Capacity for Children.
July 24, 2020: The Updated Reopening Plan (document last updated 9/10/20) was posted.
July 20, 2020: The July Update #2 is based on work and information that has occurred over the last few weeks. We continue to state that this is a fluid and dynamic circumstance, so our plans may change.
